The garment you are holding in your hands is evidence of this. It is made from 100% organic cotton and printed with water-based inks. As a company, Kealopiko has abandoned the use of plastisols entirely, and increased our use of organic cotton. The cultivation of organic cotton means less pesticides and chemical fertilizers going into the soils, waterways, and oceans of the planet. This is important to us, as we recognize the connection of the uka and the kai in all that we do. These may be small steps, but they are part of our commitment to our aina, our earth, and our customers.
